Neglect
In this project we were assigned to develop a wordmark, identity, and visual system to create a publication. This shows the ability to type-set, create a design system, and apply type hierarchy. My goal is to show the many layers and monstrosities of the foster care system in the United States.
Neglect is an eye-opening voice that exposes the monstrosities of the broken foster care system and the fragility of the impacted children.
Wordmark Concept
The wordmark expresses the fragility of foster children. The curved and thin lines show the humanly, yet vulnerable aspects. Harsh lines and the broken “l” come in to show how harsh and broken the system is. We can see this same angle in the “l” further in the publication.
